During Easter the castle is open from Thursday March 28th to Monday April 1st daily 9:45 – 16:00. Don't forget to dress well for your visit, there is still cold inside.
The Lower Castle
Read the castle like an open book
The guided tour is focused on the unique decorations in the south wing of the Lower Castle (from renaissance to the 19th century). The visitors may see restoration probes of paintings - from the renaissance fresco-secco decorations to the art-nouveau patterns. They can also admire a small part of an unique and exceptionally preserved renaissance beamed ceiling.
The castle is presented before the renovations and reconstructions, damaged by the lack of maintenance and inappropriate adaptions from the 20th century. The guided tour is provisional; there are no furnishings in the interiors.
The tour is available only with a guide.
The guided tours are in Czech. Because of operating reasons there is no English text or translation available yet! We are sorry for the inconvenience.
