Vimperk Museum

Vimperk from eighteen different angles

The Vimperk Museum is a huge signpost which offers eighteen angles from which you can discover Vimperk and its surroundings.

Set out on the Golden Path, discover glassworks or places which disappeared from the map in the 20th century. Get to know the Vimperk region as a centre of book printing, famous locality of nobility for the hunting, or as a popular place for tourism and sport. The museum also includes spaces for temporary exhibitions.

Most of the texts are translated in English and in German.

Ideal for families with children and for visitors who like to walk through the exhibitions freely, without a guide.

The museum is located on the first and second floor and is accessible only by stairs!

The time period (e.g. 10.00-16.00) indicates the possibility of the first and last entry to the museum. The last entry to the museum is possible one hour before the museum closes (e.g. if the last entry is set at 16.00, the visitor can view the exhibition until 17.00).
